Trouts GIF Optimizer shrinks GIF files and and converts other graphic formats to optimized GIFs. It supports Bitmaps (*.bmp), JPEGs (*.jpg; *jpeg), Icons (*.ico), Metafiles (*.wmf; *.emf) for conversion. The program allows you to apply the settings and view a preview of the optimized image, before finalizing any steps. The program can process single images or entire folders with sub-folders. Trouts GIF Optimizer can be used freely, but displays a banner that asks for voluntary registration.
PictureDicer is a Freeware tool that chops any image file into several smaller images, suitable for creating mouseover effects and pseudo-imagemaps on Web pages. It also generates the HTML for a table to contain the partial images and display them so they appear as the original uncut image. Supports BMP, .DIB, .GIF, .JPG, .PCX, .TGA and .TIF formats.
Handy Image Mapper lets you easily create and paste image map code into HTML documents. You can use image maps to arrange your web site navigation by associating any part of an image to a different link. Handy Image Mapper can map gif, jpg, png and bmp images and supports rectangle, circle and freehand selections. Easy to use, attractive interface. Only supports basic image map code, no mouseover or other scripting elements.
JPG Cleaner is simple but powerful utility for cleaning JPG files from anything that is not picture data. Commonly used programs such as Adobe Photoshop are writing additional information into JPG file that isn't needed for correctly displaying the picture and this program will remove it, thereby reducing the file size sometimes significantly. All this data is useul only when opening the file in program that created it. Other programs such as Internet Browsers are just skipping this data, so the data is downloaded and then thrown away! Just use this program when publishing JPG files on the Internet and your JPG files become smaller (if they contain non-picture data) with no quality loss.
Easy Thumbnails is a handy utility for creating accurate thumbnail images and scaled-down copies from a wide range of popular picture formats. Process individually, in batches, or in whole folders, using built-in image viewer. You can use slider controls to rotate images and adjust their contrast, brightness, sharpness and quality, and preview the results. Thumbnails can be created in any existing folder or a new folder, and you can identify them clearly by adding a prefix or suffix to their titles. Option of choosing from a selection of six size-reduction algorithms for the best possible results.
Yet another free screen magnifying tool. But compared to similar programs it has some uncommon additional features: (1) pixel distance measuring, (2) zoom factors ranging from 1 to 10, (3) it's window can stick to the mouse pointer!, (4) lock view to a defined screen area, (5) user defined refresh rate. All options accessed by right mouse click.
Mis-spelling tags names. Using attributes which are not appropriate for the particular tag (e.g. using BGCOLOR in an <IMG> tag). Using hexadecimal code wrongly when specifying colors (#AAG000 for example). Forgetting a closing tag where it is necessary to have one. Nesting tags in the wrong
order. Omitting the final angle bracket of a tag. Placing text in the wrong place, for example between the <HEAD> and the <BODY> section of a page. Forgetting to close quotation marks, etc...
Rename Master is a free utility for renaming large groups of files with a few clicks. Anyone that has worked with websites, file archives, or collections of music, videos, or pictures has probably spent way too much time renaming hundreds of files. This utility will add, remove, or replace parts of the filename with ease. Batch rename entire folders.
